PFLAG Oak Park Area’s mission is to promote the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual & transgender persons, their families & friends, through support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-formed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal rights.
Our monthly meetings are a safe place to find understanding and support and are open to all families, friends, allies and members of the LGBTQ+ community. We may come from diverse backgrounds and reasons for coming, but we all share our commitment to care for and learn together. Our meeting format includes open discussion, community education, announcements of general interest and information regarding upcoming events.
